This year in June, the European Training Course on Carbohydrates marked its 17th edition in Wageningen, spanning over an engaging week. More than 80 PhD students, primarily from the Netherlands but also from various other European countries took part in the event. They had the opportunity to attend presentations delivered by globally appreciated specialists who discussed a wide range of topics where carbohydrates hold significant importance. The topics covered were Glycoscience Nomenclature, Molecular Structures & Modelling, Analytical Techniques for Glycosciences, Glycoscience Synthesis & Glycoscience in Health and the Applications of Glycoscience. Additionally, the participating PhD students presented their own research through poster presentations, and we are proud that one of the CCC PhDs Luis Llanos Moreno could bring home the best poster award this year. The Summer course was organized collaboratively by VLAG Graduate School, Wageningen University and Research, University of Groningen and Leiden University Medical Center.
